Abstract

• The number of foreign tourists visiting in Sumatera Utara through 4 (four) entrances in March 2019 reached 17,516 visits, a decrease of 24.96 percent compared to those that arrived in February 2019 reaching 23,342 visits.

• In the period of March 2019, the number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara decreased by 20.58 percent compared to the same period in 2018, ie, from 22,055 visits in 2018 it fell to 17,516 visits in 2019

• In March 2019, foreign tourists from Malaysia were the most visitors with 10,504 visits or 59.97 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara.

• The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in Sumatera Utara in March 2019 reached an average of 54.44 percent, an increase of 9.13 points compared to February 2019 of 45.31 percent.

• The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests in star-rated hotels in March 2019 reaches 1.90 days, up 0.10 points compared to February 2019.

• The number of domestic passengers departing from Sumatera Utara via Kualanamu International Airport during March 2019 reached 202,298 people, up 1.72 percent compared to February 2019 which reached 198,881 people.

• The number of inter-island (domestic) sea transportation passengers departing in March 2019 was recorded at 10,765 people, down 67.38 percent compared to the previous month's 33,003 people.
